New to Forum, Not to Gameing or MODs

Greetings Everyone!! :wink:

 

I've been playing computer games (Neverwinter Nights, Dungeon Siege, Morrowind, Oblivion, Gothic3, Witcher, Hitman, FEAR, Legend etc...) for years but I have not particepated in any forums.

 

When I started playing Morrowind I got into downloading and playing MODs. When playing MODs it's a very good idea to all the comments for a MOD. This way you can solve any problems you may have. Most are due to improper installing of the MOD or conflicts with other MODS (especially with 40 or more MODs).

I didn't comment or rate the MODs even though I enjoyed them. There are a lot of talented people in the world. I love the art work and the attention to detail.

 

From reading the comments I learned to build MODs (small ones) and found I liked it. I'm not an artist even though I know what lookes good. I can imagin how something is supposed to look but I can't create it :wallbash: . Thats a talent I don't have. But I can put the pieces together to build a MOD.

I can come up with a storyline and assemble the parts .

 

Now I'm playing with Oblivion (actually this is the 5th time). I've reloaded from scratch and looking at trying the latest MODs.

 

My current project is to create a feature length movie (Michinima) using Oblivion.

For the storyline I needed a different start (found a MOD for this).

I'm looking at MODs that make the apperences better; Better bodys and hair (got some MODs for this), better armor, better clothes, etc..

Creating these things I have no talent for :confused: .

Suggestions for other MODs will be helpfull.. :thanks:

I'm also looking at companion MODs as a traveling companion. This is for maintaining a dialog and storyline. Basicly a way to tell the everyone watching what is goning on.

 

On that note, can someone point me to some tutorials on adding dialog to NPCs and companions with lipsync. :thanks:

 

I'm using FRAPs to capture the video and Vegas Movie maker by Sony to do the editing.

If you're making a movie then I would recomend some animation replacers. Check out Seph's Member Profile. He's done some very good work.

Thank you Dezdimona, I'll try that one out.

I'm Using Exnems eye candy at the moment and will be adding the upgrades and textures created for it.

It looks like Montana's companion uses the same body MOD.

I'm trying out Red Sonia, and Rhianna, as well as one of the CM Companions. Some times together sometimes individually.

I've used valaria in the past (before I reloaded everything for this project) I may check out the latest on that one as well.

 

I'm going to have to decide if the movie will rated "R" or try to tone it down to "NC17". The Body MODs I use will set that (underware of not underware that is the question) :wallbash:

I've already have actors in charge, actors in emotion, Deadly reflex(both), realistic force and magic.

 

I've been trying to get companion sounds to work by brucevayne. So far not :wallbash: . The spells don't appear in my inventory.

I'm going to the comment thread and do some reading. I've moved the MODs near the Bottom of the list (OBMM) still no spell to activate the dialog.

It's probably a conflict but I'll check the Load again.

I need to discuss creating dialog and lipsync (or where to find tutorials) anyway.

Just Kidding... You are right of course. You can't rate a MOD unless you have played it.

You would be amazed at the number of people we have to slam for not playing a mod before rating it. "I rate it a 1 because I don't like the pictures", "Who would even download stuff like this, let alone play it" are some examples of posts that draw the attention of moderators. With a quarter of a million registered here I'm surprised we don't get more like those.
