Those are injected records. Injected records are records whose formIDs indicate that they are from a master of the mod, but those records don't actually exist in the master.

But please forgive me for my ignorance, I'm still learning my way around these file systems. If they're not actually IN the masters, where do they come from?

They are basically the same as new records in the mod, but a mod author who has multiple mods they want to work together without having a specific master can use, as an example, an injected workbench to let you build things from multiple mods, with the formID ostensibly being from Fallout4.esm.

 

The risk is, someone else could end up using the same FormID for their injected record, which can cause serious issues, particularly if they are different record types.

Ok that makes sense. I can see the uses for it, as well as the drawbacks.

That's actually really interesting, and offers some new avenues that I hadn't thought of, for personal mods.
