Yfrede
I don't how much time i've spent to make this old and fantastic game to work. I'm new to modding, but i'm a fast learner and I hope this question will be answered with a solution in the end.So here goes. After installing fallout 3 GOTY (GOG version) and setting up everything (followed gamepoets "my way" series on youtube), MO would launch Fallout 3 through FOSE, but now the black window opens and then closes and.... nothing. Nothing happen. I go into the task manager and I can see Fallout 3 is running, but there's no window at the bottom to follow.I can launch and play FO3 fine through FOSE without launching FOSE through MO, but the DLC's are not appearing/popping up on the leftside screen (in-game). I tried "deactivating" some of my mods. one of them and multiple! (FSR 4, NVAC, Updated_Unofficial_FO3_Patch and OneTweak) And that didn't work.If you need more information I'll be happy to provide it!!! Just as long I can play this game with all the mods and DLC's working!- REMEMBER! THE GAME HAS WORKED WITH DLC'S THROUGH FOSE IN MO BEFORE! Deleted54170User
Have you tried checking it for dirty mods and/or for conflicts with other mods?
Yfrede
The "conflicts" and "dirty mods": Is that what the minus under the lightning symbol in Mod Organizer means?(As I said, I'm not experienced. I have no Idea how to fix the conflicts nor "clean" the dirty mods. I've tried to do the same thing GamePoet does, when it comes to cleaning your mods with FO3Edit: "Apply Filter for Cleaning", "Remove 'identical to master' record2, and "undelete and disable references".I've searched for it on youtube and google on how to fix it but with no luck. NOTE: In the top right corner of Mod Organizer there is a exclamation mark inside at red triangle. When I click on it says: "There files in your overwrite mod .... No guided fix". It further explains that "it is advisable you empty the Overwrite directory by moving those files to an existing mod." - I don't know what to do here. Found this youtube guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Gfv94WCKxADidn't help me. But everything is cleaned.LOOT tells me that 2 navmeshes is deleted and needs to be replaced/fixed by the modder himself. Found a reddit post about it. But it seems like it shouldn't be the cause of my problem. Edited January 7, 2020 by Yfrede
Deleted54170User
Just to the right of the Conflict button is a the update button. It was activated. I clicked on it and just got the Mod Organizer 2 Updated today. Have you check to see if your Mod Organizer 2 is offering you the same?

I don't use mod organizer 2. I use the v1.3.11 version. Is it mandatory I update it to v2? Btw. I SOLVED the problem. I added the fallout launch executable to to MO. I launched it with MO and then the launcher found out which display-options the game should run with. (Like the first time you open the launcher). Then I open Fose with MO and it worked! The DLC's also came rolling in after a little while, while playing.. The only problem I have now is that the Fallout 3 characters (I'm doing the AREFU QUEST) from the Family's heads are doing the.. yeah you know.. the rolling heads thingy.. AND the game crashes faster and more offen now. ehehe.. What can I do about that? :)
Deleted54170User
The Mod Organizer 2 Updated and it is much easier to understand. The Conflicts and the Mod packages not properly arranged. For one I downloaded a mod. It showed me the mod set up the way the fomod was arranged. The person set up two packs with <Data> as the header. The problem was that all the information Meshes, Textures, and such plus the ESP were under the sub folder named <Data>. I clicked on the top folder pressed the L-Shift button down holding it down, and selected the bottom item, the *esp; dragged them to the upper <Data> and they moved into it. All were recognized. The updated Mod Organizer 2 updated version today...It is much more user friendly.
