ibengames
i am about to mod my skyrim, and im testing midways to see if everything worksso far it all seems fine, but then i stumbled upon a weird fps problem...i run rtx2070 super with stable 60 fps and never above 80% GC usage, BUT when im ingame, if i look in a specific direction (can be random but is stays always the same) my fps drop to 10 or lower and my GC usage also drops to 20%, also there is no other bottleneck with my m2 dive and only 40%cpu usageif look in any other direction fps go up to normal 60 and when i look back at this specific point it drops again...can it be a problem with the enb settings or skyrimpref settings? its jusdt weird that my GC dont want to work at this minimum part of the game

Allow it to choose your settings (you can make a note of your old ones if you're concerned) and see if your problem is resolved.
ibengames
well, i tried it, but the weird fps drop staysi cant condirm it but i have the feeling its when a lot of npc are in the direction im viewing, but why does my GC stop working then? its not like it couldnt handle that, its more like it just dont want to handle it forget that, also it seems places with lots of npc can cause fps drop but i also got those fps drops in the wilderness, and i can see that my cpu doesnt change the usage while the lag Edited January 13, 2020 by ibengames
MFitz56
So it's not your ini files or your hardware. Among mods the most common cause are those that change appearance like ENBs.
ibengames
well since this problem started almost from the beginning of modding my skyrim an enb would seem most likely, but what can i do to find out whats the problem then, and how to fix it... MFitz56
Sadly, this is the kind of problem that only responds to brute force. Eliminate the ten most likely mods and see if the problem goes away. If not, rinse and repeat. If it does add those mods back one at a time until the problem recurs and you will know what did it. Alternatively, you can scrap your entire load order and start again adding only a few mods at a time.
ibengames
thanks for your advise fitz, but even after i did that i couldnt eliminate the problem, at the end i starten from scratch, but this time in SSE. took me some time to find all the mods i wanted but now i have (as possible as possible) the same build in SSE but without the bug. so whatever happened i will never find out Edited January 30, 2020 by ibengames
