Peregrine
Do you mean making your own weapon models, or just editing the stats of existing ones? If the first, pay $3500 for 3dsmax, get the .nif export plugin from the official Morrowind site, and follow this tutorial. If the second, just look at how the existing weapons are made. It's pretty easy to work backwards and create your own.
blackwolf8480
isnt there some easy way to just change the color?
Peregrine
There's a retexturing program out there somewhere, but I have no idea how to use it. All my texturing is done with 3dsmax, so I can't say much more than to search the old threads for it.

Even with 3DsMax it serves another purpose, You can retexture .nif's without importing them to 3DsMax. The one I use works great, but you should get a texturing program based on what operating system you use, I had to go through sevral before I found one for XP.I forget where I found mine. Peregrine
Well, I know one exists, but I've never had any reason to use it. All the models I've wanted to create are entirely custom work, and no existing .nifs were what I wanted.
Geonox
-> search @ google for; download nif texture, you can find the textures on the tesc cd. Then you'll have to edit them with a photo edit program (drawing program) like photoshop or something else....you can also use paint but that's kinda ugly...When you have made your texture open the .nif file with nif texture and change the texture for the object! have fuN! ^_^
