Mysterious and very annoying item

In one my mods, there's an item in the misc crafting tab called "Assassin's skill". Whenever I select it Skyrim instantly CTDs.

I have no recollection adding it, how do I get rid of it? Is there a way to see all the items and spells and what not contained within a mod?

I already have tried searching for both 'assassin' and 'skill' within the items and craftable objects section, before you ask.

If you know which mod is the culprit mod...

Open Creation Kit

Select & load all masters for that mod with none set as active but do not load the mod itself.

After that has fully loaded

Open the data files window

Select only said mod & set it as active

Click the details button.

 

This gives you an overview of ALL records considered changed by this mod. It is here where you can, if you know what you are doing, clean your mod "the official Bethesda route".

 

To remove something unwanted select that record and press the delete key. A warning box pops up, say yes to that and that record will be marked as "Ignored" which means that the game & the Creation Kit will not register any entries with regards to that record. When finished "cleaning" the mod press the close button. The next time you go to save the plugin those ignored records will be removed completely, until then it can be reveresed by repeating the process.

 

However, if you will be attempting to remove records this way, you should backup your mod file before hand. If done improperly it can render the file useless.

In the CK, use "Edit->Find Text..." from the top menu, and search for the keywords "Assassin's skill", then click the Objects tab.
