Autosaves won't save past #3

I added:

[saveGame]

iAutoSaveCount=10

 

to my Fallout4Custom.ini file, and my saves are not going past Autosave3. Once it gets to 3, it overwrites #1 on the fourth autosave. At first I thought this was my autosave mod's fault (Jax's Incremental Autosave Manager), but I tried a separate Autosave manager mod on a fresh new character, and that was stuck at 3 autosaves as well. I can't figure out what is wrong. Can anybody help?

Heyas Visoth - the autosave limit by default is 3 for survival mode, from what I am reading online. So, for whatever reason, you .ini edit isn't working.

If you don't mind, do a copy and paste of your entire ini file and I'll take a look at it.

 

That said, a word of advice. I would not use this thing to make saves very often. Bethesda's game engine is retarded when it comes to writing saves. They've never gotten it right, since at least the Morrowind days, over a decade ago. So what I'm saying is, is that you're playing with fire by over-writing the same files, over and over and over, with this game engine.

And if, because of that, the saves start getting corrupted, or start to CTD when trying to write the saves, please.... don't blame the mod. It's the Creation Engine that doesn't know what it's doing.

May be a good idea to hard save. Can be done at a bed on survival, but the survival options mod can help. It's great if you have job and want to just get a few things done and come back later. It will add a few save items to your inventory and can let you keep fast travel, so it is a good mod to have in regardless of how you want your run to be.

same here btw- no matter which survival savegame mod i use,

has zero effect. wonder if it's Vortex-related...
