feygan
Just wondering if the current idea will work to combine mods, as I have several small mods that just add one or two items each not overlapping at all with each other. If I load up the CS then select whatever mods I wish to merge, once it has all opened, if I then save this as one single new name esp. Can I safely switch off each of the old mods in the load order and just load the one new esp and still get all the items etc?
alex2avs
I don't think that will work ;) I recommend you to use TES4 Plugin Utility A newer version is TES4Gecko that you can find here on TESNexus This should work...I think that you can also use WyreBash
octavius243
It is not recommended to use the CS.Use TS4Gecko, a *very* useful utility.
DavidWhitefang
I agree with alex2avs, that TES4Gecko is the way to go. I have combined four mods this way, and I did untick, or turn off the originals, after doing so, and my new esp did properly load all of the mods which I had combined into it, just by ticking it as enabled. feygan
A question about the TESgecko, if for example i'm running a sword mod and an axe mod, in my savegame I have already found both items and have them in a chest. I then merge the mods with gecko, will my save game still have those items in the chest? or will they now have different ID's and require me to go find them again? SickleYield
You can try transferring dependency from the originals to the new .esp using Wrye Bash, but I've had little success with that.
myrmaad
I put 30 outfits I'm already using, and also that respawn (because my chests respawn, I lose things) into 1 tes4gecko'd merged plugin. I had to turn them off one way or another because I was out of room so it was either turn them off and not have them, or turn them off after making a merged patch with Tes4Gecko. I still have all my clothes, and the chests also still respawn.
