maxarturo
I need for someone how might know to verify me if this is a game bug or it's on my part, or it is cause by any of the mods in my load order. Falmer do not patrol !, i just placed some falmers and link them to the linked Patrol Markers, as common as this can be, exactly as they are set up in vanilla game, i'm using the vanilla stuff without touching them. Then before shuting down the PC i went to check some vanilla cells that exists with the same vanilla falmers and patrol as i have, and they also do not patrol !....?.... they just stand there in the first patrol marker...?...?... Falmer have their "defaultMasterPackageList" that it's supposed to allow them to patrol when they are Linked Ref to the patrol marker. Do i need to fix this too ?...?... @$#*$ !! * I did not coc, all cells were loaded properly, i'm at the point that all testing must be done without coc. Thank you in advance !. Zebsi
Did you set Patrol data for the patrol markers?
maxarturo
They are all set as the vanilla, and also the vanilla falmer patrols (from vanilla cells/set up) "DO NOT PATROL". This is either a game bug that needs fixing, or it is cause by a mod in my load order which needs tracking it down. The only way i can narrow it down (and save me some time) is if someone else verify me that their vanilla falmer patrols works or not. * Setting up a patrol is one of the simpliest and most common things you can do in CK. cumbrianlad
I'm on it Maxarturo! I'll stick one of the nasty little things into a cell somewhere and see if it will patrol. Edit: I haven't tested yet but I did notice that the Falmer have their own idle markers 'FalmerPatrolMarker' and 'DLC1FalmerSquatIdleMarker'. Don't know if this is at all relevant yet, but I'll extend the test to have some with ordinary 'PatrolIdleMarkers' and others with these ones and see if there's a difference. Edit 2: Sorry, maxarturo, I put 4 levelled Falmer into Embershard mine. They were a mixture of mellee, mage and ranged types. 2 of them used Standard 'PatrolIdleMarker's. Two of them used the Falmer markers above. 3 patrols were simple ping-pong patrols, one was looped. All 4 Falmer patrolled correctly, using all of their markers (Once they'd done with wiping out all the bandits... fun to watch!). At least it confirms for you that there is no issue with the vanilla set-up. Thinking about it, when playing the game, I've always seen them patrolling, the exceptions being when they are linked to a single marker.
maxarturo
Thank you cumbrianlad for taking the time !. Let the bug emitting mod hunt begin... kudos to you. Edited January 18, 2020 by maxarturo
cumbrianlad
That's my pleasure, Maxarturo. It goes a little way towards thanking you for all the help you've given me. I suppose for bug-hunting, loading all mods in SSEedit and applying a filter to show conflict losers might help. After that it's a painstaking job of trawling through all the Falmer records. Maybe the patrol markers too. Best of luck!
maxarturo
Tes5Edit is a very useful and powerful tool, but it can not do everything. There are circumstances where an experienced modder does something on purpose and it's not a "Dirty Edit" but is the culpable of the issue you are facing. I have in my list 3 of those mod, and they are both from the group of the "Famous" mods, they gave me some very hard times a few month back trying to figure out what was causing the bugs i was facing, i can't name those mods for obvious reasons. cumbrianlad
Fair enough. Your reasons for non-disclosure are totally understandable. I still wish you "All the best!"
