Scariest Skyrim Mods of All Time

Eye of the beholder m'lord. If the OP likes it better then he likes it better, If he doesn't then he doesn't. had you bothered the read the thread, you'd know that I suggested as much in my followup post, when I said

I should have suggested that you just disable the original, just in case you don't like the new one. It really is very different. The street lamps not so much, but the changes to how light is handled is significantly different, (as you will see the next time you play and night time comes)

Well, I hope you like the new version. I do, but different strokes and all that.

In my opinion, based on the stated goals of the OP, Lanterns II fits a "dark" atmosphere for his "scary" paradigm better than the original. I used the original and it was fine. The new one has a much more "dark atmosphere" to it. What you do and what mods you install are your own thing. Most of us don't run with 300+ mod overload condition that leaves their game so unstable they can't install or uninstall a mod mid game... Most of us just want to have fun and a relatively low effort distraction from the demands of real life

FYI Lanterns of Skyrim II is a far, far better choice than the older Lanterns of Skyrim mod.

I disagree. Lanterns II needs a ton of patches and only worked half for me with poles without lanterns in places. The first release didn't need any patches at all. Sure, the original Lanterns had slight problems when using all of Arthmoor's added villages with a pole sticking through a house here and there, but I didn't mind too much. The original Lanterns worked without a problem on a load of over 600 mods, while Lanterns II has 'problems' with half the mods I use.

To each their own! I like both honestly and I made sure to have both linked too. What I like about the first one is the simplicity and file size while I also like the second one for being fancier and having more depth. Also Lamps II fits better if you have a lot of remodels and textures and Lamps I fits better if you have little to no remodels or textures.

Here's one, that is scary af and really hard too. I played it with a level 60 spellsword and the monsters are tough. Dungeons are dark too, unlike reg. Skyrim dungeons, these suckers are dark! I can imagine playing these dungeons using that eerie sound pack someone posted! This is a great mod to add after you've done most of the main quests, since these dungeons are long too, take up alot of time.

Hammet's Dungeon Packs for SE

I don't have it installed right now on my new play through. But when I did have it installed, I played through 5 or 6 of these 32 dungeons. I won't say anything else, because the description on his mod page does a much better job conveying what it is.
