Point me to some tutorials?

It's a huge request, so I'm not 100% hopeful. Plan B is to just do it myself. But I need some help for that. Understand that I'm not asking anyone to tell me how to do this or do it for me, just to point me to some useful tutorials that will teach me how to do it myself. I tried looking for them, but most are either very basic or way too advanced. I'm a beginner with CK, but not a complete newbie, and I need to learn about very specific things, just to see if I can make this one idea work.

 

I have some idea about where to start with the building itself. I have NO idea whatsoever how the game handles NPCs. I can create NPCs, but for the idea I had, I would need to learn how to place them in the world and make them behave the way I want to. I would also need to know how to make the "donation box" idea work.

 

I'll admit I'm secretly hoping that half the work is already done by more talented people than I, that there's modder resources and mods out there that already have the things I need, and that it would be possible to cobble this together from those without having to start from scratch. It wouldn't surprise me, with a modding community this big and dedicated. If this is indeed the case, I would very much appreciated any help in that direction as well. Because again, I don't know where to start looking.

 

I would also very much appreciate it if someone could tell me how complicated implementing all this really is, because I'm sort of in the dark about that. It's the scripting I'm most worried about. I can learn and I want to learn and like to learn, but if people with the proper experience tell me that the learning curve is so steep it'll easily take over a year to make this happen by myself, I might have to start looking into a Plan C.
