Onikobe
I want to make my Skyrim installs as easy and convenient as possible, so I planned to use the "dinput" feature to install mods/tools which normally require a manual install, but the behaviour of Vortex is from my point of view totally inconsistent and I have no idea why that is.I got, among others the following two utilities, one doesn't give me any trouble, the other one does, though they should both behave the same way (theoretically):My "xShadomanx's DLL Loader" archive works, the "SKSE" archive doesn't.Both are packed as .7z. If I install the archive above in vortex, the Data folder is kept and if I choose dinput for deployment, all the files and folders go where they belong. But... ...if I install the SKSE archive, the Data folder gets removed so that the scripts folder is on top (as seen on the screenshot below) and if I install it via dinput (which I have to if I want the other skse stuff in the main game folder), then of course only the top files end at the right place and and the (now on top) scripts folder also ends up in the main game folder and not in Data. Seriously, Vortex needs an easy to access way to install such archives. Luckily LOOT told me that something was off, else it could possibly have taken me hours to figure it out. PS: I also tried to squeeze an additional Data folder in between, but that didn't work either.
