radioraheem
Hi everyone, first time mod user here, and was having great success early on. That seems to have changed tonight (maybe went a bit overboard with them). I first noticed something off with my magic shots going ludicrously off target (mostly downwards). The thing is, it doesn't happen all the time, so hard to replicate. Now I'm noticing it with arrows. When I shoot at enemies, they don't seem to register. And when the arrow leaves my bow, there's a flickering of the arrow's animation lingering (almost like it goes upward/jams). I've logged enough hours in vanilla Skyrim to know what the animation should look like, and it just doesn't feel right. I've tried starting a new game in "Alternate life", but it still does it. I ran BOSS, and it gave me a few dirty edits, listed below. Tried to work around them by simply disabling the "yellow" flagged plugins. Noticed that some of the mods, like RichMerchant, I can't find to disable in the Mods tab. The last few mods I uninstalled were Headtracking, Advanced Kill Moves, and Marriage Dynamic Outfits. But nothing seems to be fixing that archery/spell aiming bug. Any advice would be MUCH appreciated. Skyrim.esm Active Update.esm Active Contains dirty edits: 50 ITM, 1 UDR records. radioraheem
Okay, I think I figured out the root of the problem--my first person aim is actually using the third person aiming reticle. Which is really strange. So I shoot an arrow in first person, and it falls short by quite a bit. But if I switch to third person, it's a perfect shot. Same thing with the magic. Any ideas how to fix this? I think the only change I made was to my skyrim.ini file, which slightly altered the third person camera so that it wouldn't zoom out. I'd like to keep that camera option for melee but be able to use first person for precise aiming.
UnknownX12
Disable all mods and enable one mod after another and test it out, which one causes the bug. Then think wheather this mod could be in conflict with another one (because it changes similiar stuff). That's how you usually fix such bugs, which occure due to many mods being active. moxrox
The mod "The Joy Of Perspective" did cause some troubles with aiming because I did not read the suggested .ini settings. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/6002 You need to adjust your skyrim.ini to aim again properly in first person view, read the description of the mod. Thank you anyway. Edited February 12, 2013 by moxrox
