Burst fire receivers

Has anybody made a mod that adds burst-fire receivers to the weapons in the game? And do any of them exist for energy weapons? Especially one that includes the gauss rifle, since the idea of a weapon that charges up and then fires a burst really appeals to me for some reason. Can't quite put my finger on it. Something about bodyshotting people from a different zip code.

The Only weapon that I know of, that I've played with, that has burst is the Famas https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/22830

However, the author has their permissions set up, as By Permission only, so reverse engineering then sharing their work without permission for how they performed this really cool feat of magic is a no-no :(

 

I'm not saying that it's the only weapon that has the feature, just that it's the only one that I know of .

Yeah, Novafinch has a few mods with burst-fire, but they closed their comments so I don't think they're even willing to talk to anybody about how they did it.

Interesting! I've downloaded quite a few of his guns, but I haven't tried them out. So I didn't know that some of the have burst fire. Thanks for pointing that out :)

Both authors have their work set up for use only by permission. If they were contacted, they may grant permission to use those assets.

However, I'm not saying this to be a butthead, and tbh, trying to reverse engineer is most likely over my head, since I can't see the scripts involved without trying to figure out how to use the CK.

But, typically, before an author will accept a request where permissions are needed, they will want the permissions to be given, before they will start the project. What that means, is that the person requesting the mods needs to get the legwork done, of gaining those permissions, and be able to prove to the site staff, that those permissions were granted, before taking up the project. In regards to what I put in bold, basically, if say... I was to mod out a weapon to add a full auto receiver to it, but it needed permissions. I'm not putting my tail on the line, unless I know there's proof it's ok for me to do it first. Since uploading that mod without permission would get me a warning at best, banned at worst.

Permissions don't have to be automatically sent the site staff, but if they ask to see it, they need to see it. Right away.

 

But yeah, you might try contacting the authors. I would honestly love to see more weapons have burst fire.

I lack the technical skill to pull off something like that in the first place, so it's a moot point.
