Newest version a LOT faster for checking for mod updates

I have been used to the long time it takes to check for mod updates, but I updated to 0.18.12, and the check for updates is a lot faster. Didn't time it to compare to the previous version, but it's a lot faster now. Doing the actual mod updates seems to be a bit faster, but, again, didn't time it. liteblue

Umm, the current version is 1.1.10, why did you update to a version that has been outdated for half a year?

 

The reason the update check got faster is because the api added a way to optimize the check.

Previously if you had 200 mods and 10 had an update, Vortex had to fetch the information for all 200 mods to figure out the 10 that have an update.

 

Now there is a single request that we can make to give us a list of all mods that have changed since the last check and then we do one request per updated mod to get the details so we'd only need 11 request instead of 200.
