Seemingly random CTD's are pretty annoying...

I get pretty random crashes every 20-30 minutes.

As far as I know it doesn't matter where I am, though I only was in the area around Morthal (mainly the quest concerning the burned house).

 

My system specs are as follows:

 

Intel i5 480M dualcore at 2,8-3,2 Ghz

Nvidia GT540m 1Gb

4Gb RAM

Windows 7 64-bit

 

I have the latest Version of SKSE installed and use HiAlgoboost. No ENB.

I sorted it with BOSS and applied some custom rules.

The Bashed Patch was rebuilt after I ordered the Loadorder.

The Skymomod you see here is one of the Lore-friendly and others Replacers.

 

I properly cleaned every Plugin that Boss suggested with TES5Edit.

 

As I can't think of anything else that could be of interest for this matter now my question:

 

Do I overlook any obvious conflicts? Do you have any idea where my problem originates?

Truly random crashes, and crashes after a set amount of time, tend to be related to hardware rather than mods.

HAve you tried manually removing your drivers (not using the driver update, that can cause leftover files/incomplete installation and is not recommended by NVidia) and then downloading the latest? I am actually using the beta 310.54, and they seem to work for me. The 306.94 Ithe current WHQL release) also seemed fine.

 

Are you sure you have shut down all background apps, processes, services? Virus scans, automatic updates, "waves" from a backup drive to your main drive, IM, cloud syncs, browsers, etc could all cause the problem you describe. Also playing skyrim in offline mode helps avoid the annoying lag from updates on steam.

 

You might try using something like CPU-Z to monitor all of your computers performance while playing in game. High temps could cause a CTD, a failing PSU, etc.

It can not be related to drivers for I played with them for quite some time without problems.

I usually terminate anything that I don't need for the game, including plugging out my external media harddrive and my second monitor. The only thing I don't do is playing in offline mode...

 

It has to have something to do with the mods or the loadorder:

 

I had to make a new character because the last one had massive savegame bloat (200+ mb anyone? :psyduck: ). While at it I added two new mods (Morning Fogs and Tales of Lycanthropy) and tried a new loadorder, that a thread here on nexus suggested as working correctly. Well, it didn't, so I reverted to good old BOSS and reordering unrecognised plugins by hand. But the CTD's didn't want to leave... :facepalm:

Here's my two cents - go to a small interior cell such as breezehome or some other player home, do a clean save (wait for 30+ days, sleep a night, save, exit), remove Crimson Tide - Blood.esp, load, make a clean save again just for kicks (and safety), exit, load, play game.

 

And post your actual boss log - the one you get when you run it.

As a side note I've never had much luck with the Phenderix mods myself but I brutally cut all suspect mods and that was one of them. I've not done extensive testing, and a lot of people seem happy with it. But I know for a fact Crimson Tide and Sounds of Skyrim will cause s***.

The SoS mods did cause problems to some but I didn't have them. Furthermore everybody who uninstalled them got problems, so I don't think I will remove those :thumbsup:

 

DSpSoB is the DG version and as I stated in my first post I use a replacer for the Monstermod v9 and as the note says: Obsolete only if using the original mod. I understand that I have to use it...

 

Concerning the Bandolier: I'll have to look...

I know, but with the new savegame and Dynavision removed everything is fine in that matter.
