problem with the "when freedom calls" quest

i entered the museum, cleared all the raiders but preston wont open the door until all the raiders are dead and the quest objective is to kill 0/7 raiders, i tried resurrecting the raiders and killing them but it wont count for the objective and using setstage which also didn't work. if anyone knows what kind of issue it is or how to fix this i'd appreciate the help.

Heyas Capchack! It's most likely a mod that was running while you were still inside the vault, and then didn't load correctly once you exited the vault.

Since you aren't very far along, test it with a new character, with most of your mods turned off, until after you collect most of the junk around the exit of the vault. Then exit the game, reactivate your load order, and see if it works again.

 

Also, I have a mod that I forget to deactivate during the vault, that for some reason removes 4 of the raiders from the museum. If you walk up to the door, press the tilde ~ key to open the console, mouse click on the door, type in unlock then hit the enter key, then the Tilde key again, the door will unlock, and you can go in and talk to them.

couldn't exactly find a fix for it so i just started a new game and tried again, thankfully it worked. i think something was just wrong with start me up 6.1 but im alright now, thanks anyways though :)
