Oblivion (custome) Meshes for Skyrim

I saw the Mr_Siikas Highrock Resources badass castle buildings converted for Oblivion for the Russian Mod Andoran, made by people who can give a damn about western copyright laws because no law could reach them in cold russia for this. I don't know if they asked for permission, but they show some Bethesda Models on their screenshots anyway. By the way, who cares.

So, i was asking if there is anyone working already on something like this, bringing all those custome funitures and buildings to Skyrim. For example, Mr_Siikas is an great artist and did some awesome stuff for oblivion, would be a waste if this wouldn't get used for Skyrim. Same for Stroti or Lazerus.

to early for such projects?

See that? What meshes they use?

You can import Oblivion meshes to skyrim without use any 3D program just use nifskop import and export. But you would need a collision box mesh for the oblivion ones because they don't get transacted somehow.

This is usually a community where we leave the authors to decide what should be done with their work. If someone doesn't want to convert their Oblivion stuff to Skyrim, or doesn't want to let someone else distribute edited versions of their work, then you should respect that.

Of course, getting permission to add to someone else's work is usually just a few PMs away, as most modders are pretty cool about that sort of thing.

You seem to know how to do this yourself. There's nothing stopping you from converting these resources for use in your own personal game, but you'll need permission from the author if you want to distribute any of that on the Nexus.

As for "Who cares?"... As a minor modder myself, I would certainly care if someone tried to take something that I spent my time making, only to change it up a little and release it as their own work. At the very least, I'd like to be credited if that were to happen to me.
