Zastarx
Alright, this has been a problem ever since I can remember. NPCs just constantly fall through the floor and it is making the game unplayable. I have no idea why it is doing this and I have tried to find the answers online but cant seem to find many people with the same problem or any solutions. I have tried re-installing the game multiple times but it did not help. I also tried the unofficial skyrim patch in hopes it will fix it but unfortunately, it did not. I am running vanilla Skyrim with no mods or any of the official DLCs and until I can get this fixed, I cannot play. Also I should note that I never fall through the floor, just the NPCs. Georgiegril
That had been a problem, but way back. What patch are you using? Are you running through steam?
Zastarx
That had been a problem, but way back. What patch are you using? Are you running through steam?Yeah, I am running the game though steam, and it is updated to 1.8.151.
Georgiegril
And you have had this problem all along? What you describe is a problem with the Navmesh. There are a few spots, I think, where this has not been fixed, but if you are having widespread incidents of this problem, my guess would be that it is mod releated--maybe a mod you have now, maybe one that you used to have but was incompletely removed. Have you tried the verify game files through steam? Although adding the last patch should have overwritten any missing files, this option occasionally fixes the odd problem. Have you tried completely uninstalling all of your mods (see the step guide to reverting to vanilla)? Just unchecking a mod may not be enough to discount it's effects in your game. If you still have the problem with a completely vanilla game, I would try a complete clean reinstallation of the game.  You can also followBBen's troubleshooting guide to pinpoint which mod is the problem. Zastarx
I actually formatted my hard drive and freshly installed windows 7 a few days ago for other reasons so this resulted in me freshly installing Skyrim. But nevertheless, I followed the step guide to reverting to vanilla just encase and made sure I was not subscribed to any mods as well. I started the game up and still this occurs. I might upload a video of what exactly is happening in a bit. Maybe that will help find what the problem is. Thanks for all the help so far Edited November 19, 2012 by Zastarx

Amoryenar
that is a problem :T Have you tried reporting it to Bethesda?
Zastarx
that is a problem :T Have you tried reporting it to Bethesda?Yep. They said it was most likely caused from a mod as well. But I am so sure that there are no traces of any mods on my current copy of skyrim.
Amoryenar
Reinstall it one more time and if it still happens, bug Bethesda again.
