My fix for random CTD

So, I upgraded my videocard form an ancient Radeon 2400 to a shiny new 7770. I kept getting random silent CTD with no errors.

 

I generated a new d3d9.dll with d3d9GEN from the FO:NV nexus and the CTD problem *seems* to have been resolved.

 

EDIT: The above, in conjunction with reducing shadow quality to medium is producing results.

 

I do get a new odd issue though...since I have all this VRAM and horsepower to play with I finally installed the official HD DLC. Now, the game will random not load textures, giving me the occasional purple animal or person or whatever. Reloading the game fixes it...until the next time. What gives?
