Since i couldn't find a bug or a help section I guess this should go here. Anyway I recently reinstalled Fallout New Vegas and came to the nexus to dl some mods however i can't access the new vegas nexus I keep getting a Unable to connect can't establish a connection to the server message there. So i went and tried accessing a different nexus and it worked. About half the nexuses are working and half give me the unable to connect message. I have tried using multiple different browsers and they all have the same issue. I first encountered this error yesterday and its still continuing today

Make sure you're logged in you cant do anything unless you're logged in.

Yes i was signed in, not that you need to be to look at the mods. The weird thing is that i can go to the Skyrim nexus without an issue as well as the Mount and Blade one and several others for example, however the New Vegas one and the Oblivion one and several other ones i can't connect to

Try a different browser.

As i said in first post i did try multiple browsers, same results. As well as the more drastic measure of temporarly turning off my antvirus/firewall still no change. So i did a google search and saw that a year and a half ago someone else had this problem and was told to run a tracert, so i tried that. It appears i get, request times out, on the last hop.

You could try the direct link to a game - bypassing any intermediate steps you may be going through to get there.

FONV http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/

Skyrim http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/

Also, sometimes an update of a firewall, antivirus or other program with blocking capability starts blocking some of our sites. They usually stop blocking in a day or so, but you may be able to add the site you want to the white list for that program (only for that computer)

Then, sometimes a change in one of our sites causes a firewall or antivirus to trigger an automatic block as an unrecognized or changed site. - again this is usually fixed in a day or so, and can often be fixed with a change in your AV/Firewall rule set.

These can usually be found by checking the AV/firewall log to see just what they have blocked recently.

Some programs that use a blacklist to filter internet sites from being displayed may have us on their list for some reason. Programs that do this are often intended to keep kids from getting into inappropriate sites.

Others use a whitelist to only allow users to access sites that are listed as approved by their criteria. We have no control over these lists. But you may be able to edit them to allow Nexus sites.

These often have a log also

And in one instance - a person had added one of our sites to their parental blocking application, thinking it would just block their underage kids from getting on. But they put it under sites to be blocked for all users by mistake - They insisted it was our fault until they found the error.

I also have seen at least 2 where an ISP had blocked one of our sites for some reason.

Thanks for the tips. I disabled my adblocker and I was able to get through to the server again.

It is quite strange really. I mean the adblocker never really interrupted a server like that before. I would expect NoScript to do something like that since it blocks java. I guess there is a lot I don't know about these addons for firefox that I am using.

Kudos.

New problem now. After I installed NMM I used it to install one mod successfully. Then I tried to install Immersive Armors and was getting a system.outofmemoryexception error when I tried to activate it. So I searched about it and found that NMM doesn't work well with large files. So I went to get it manually and now when I try to download anything I get a blank white page after I pick a location to download from.

I don't remember nexus being this difficult in the past. :ermm:
