StormWolf01
Well that work ? Until the next update  I'm not entirely sure, but I think what Markus means, is that yes, it will definitely work. Then, after the next update, you will need to replace the updated files, with the ones from your backup.Did you backup your other folders as well. The ones that I mentioned that have your appdata and savegames? Edit- Ugh, Looks like those weren't mentioned yet.Ok, your savegames are located in your Documents folder, under My Games, and then in Fallout4. Sometimes a mod may save some data there as well. Documents\My Games Your appdata file is kind of buried deep. C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\Fallout4 "YourUserName" is most likely NOT a folder on your computer. That, will be whatever the name is that you use to log into your computer when you have to use your password to unlock the 'puter. StormWolf01
Heyas Raker. Ok, I'm sorry but you need to be a bit more specific about "It didn't work".If you mean that it didn't install an all new version of the game, did you make your backups, then uninstall the game. Then have steam reinstall it?

Deleted48339873User
First, look at the directory, where vortex is installed and maybe there you find a directory, with the backup files of the mods. Some directories at your hard disk, is hidden. So you must open file manager, click at you hard drive, and then go up, where said view, and click at show hideFrom there you can click hidden items After that you can go to C:\Users\YourUserName and you see some new directoriesTry to find, i think, the directory is about, maybe, programs and vortex. Maybe there is the forlder keep backup of all the mods you install. And then, delete all the files you seeOr try to find to all the hidden directories or documents for a directory call Fallout 4 i don't use Vortex. Try to you Nexus mod manager community edition or Mod Organizer. Also try to install manual your mods. Download them, unzip the file and copy all the files to the data. Also, make a directory for all your mods you like / make and separate them Quests / Companions / Environment and more, so you can find easy every mod you want to use, every time you want to start a clean game. (check at Nexus Forum, at Mod Talk, my post about Must have mods - start with those and add other. That's all. Thanks.
