saut
I've heard many people talking about playing "evil" Morrowind characters, and I'm attempting to right now. It's just that, well, I can't think of that much evil stuff to do, except kill innocent people with my balrog race. What reccomendations do you people have for playing evil characters? I'm not really into becomming a vampire, though -- I'd like to play through the game as Gothmog, Lord of the Balrogs (who I am sure many of you are familiar with given the MEMod community here). WWGMD? [i apologize if there are already similar threads on evil characters, but I did a search and found zilch].
Malchik
World domination - isn't that it? Wipe out everyone. Become a skooma addict. Enslave entire towns. There's not a great deal to be said for being a vampire for long in MW without downloading mods that give more opportunities. It's worth becoming one to get the unique artifacts, Eltonbrand, Spell-breaker Shield etc then getting cured but you don't need to be 'evil' to do that. If you have the necromancer's amulet, you don't even need to feed. To be honest killing innocent people is about all you can do without a few mods. Stick to being a good guy! At least then you might have available the NPCs necessary to complete the 500 plus quests available!
Maquissar
Now, that's not true that all you can do is kill innocents. You can also wanderthrough Morrowind, randomly insulting people! Now isn't *THAT* Evil! "Arthur B. Dent? You are a complete jerk." ;)
saut
What are these mods you speak of? I'm quite tired of playing good characters, I felt it was time for a change. Morrowind has been losing its appeal to me lately and playing an evil character sounded like something fresh to experience.
Malchik
Have you done all the quests then? Do you have the expansions? You could become a werewolf and support Carnius in the EEC quests - those are pretty evil. There is a mod called vampire embrace I think (I haven't played it) that enables you to turn others into vampires. Not being a huge vampire fan I'm not the best to advise. There is also a mod where you can become a necromancer. I don't know the name but someone will. They may not be available on MWsource but on other forums. Without mods, you can use the domination spell to get NPCs to fight for you in your rampages. But if you are getting bored - and lets face it any game becomes boring eventually - try modding, join an RPG on these forums, design a new race of undead! saut
No, I certainly haven't done ALL the quests (and I only have Tribunal), but I don't have much motivation to do them any more. Perhaps I'll open up the construction set one day and try to do some modding of my own, but until then, random mods and one day Bloodmoon will have to do. saut
I'm playing the Sixth House mod with a Balrog character. So far it's been fun doing a little more RPing than I usually do.
The Truth
I made a semi-evil character once, and have been contemplating making a full blown one. Especially with the Bloodmoon expansion as you now have respawning NPC's. I've thought about summoning a couple of Skeletal minons, boosting thier strengths and speeds, and marching thru Solstheim killing every Reaver, Berserker, and Smuggler I could find. Maybe even wipe out Fort Frostmoth at one point and replacing everyone there with a Skeleton or ghost. And you can always torture people with long lasting shock, fire, and ice spells. Custom crafting them to take a person right to the point of death, and then refilling thier life right before they die. Command innocents and force them to walk over hot lava. Or worse yet.....make random people oil up Hlomar Wine-Sot..... ...with their tongues.....
cactoblasta
The Suran Underworld mod is a fairly long and wellmade "evil" mod where you can rise to the top of a crime syndicate. The Sixth House mod (already mentioned) is also good, although I think it's not as good as suran underworld because it leads to a great deal of people attacking on sight. Carnithus' Armamentarium is a must-have for anyone who wants to dress in various shades of blood or has an interest in new weapons and armour. For more examples try looking through the official Betheesda forums (or this one for that matter) for top mods (or best mods or topics like that) and the Morrowind Source/Morrowind Summit download sections. Dilvish
I have an Altmer character named Aiden Direnni. He left the package on Caius's doorstep since he will never serve the false Emperor. Making a living as travelling alchemist and thief allowed him to gain gold, knowlege in conjuration, and skill with blunt weapons. Aiden sought out and joined the Berne Clan of vampires when he was strong enough to resist their attacks. He joined the Thief and Mage Guilds but doesn't do any duties for them. Trebonius had to die for his staff and amulet.Half of the women in Vvardenfell are in love with him and his harem continues to grow. (Using the Vampire Embrace Mod) Now he has killed Vivec and the crippled Dwemer has activated the stolen Wraithguard. Dagoth Ur's brothers are all dead. Soon Ur will die, not to help the Empire or to save the puny mortals, but because Dagoth Ur is a rival to his power.
