jikko123
http://i.imgur.com/zl9LV.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/raumq.jpg Whats going on here? It's flickering real fast all over the place whenever I'm outside, and it makes the game pretty much unplayable. It mainly affects the sky, but also the mountains in the backround. I also got som horrendous popup. It looks like artifacts that you'll get from an overheating gpu, but my temps are just fine. I can play every other game perfectly fine. It's a brand new comp so It's not a hardware issue. I'm playing vanilla, just started out. Reinstalling the game does not solve the problem. Intel Pentium Processor G2120Radeon 7850 1 GB + latest drivers Any clues? I really want to play the game, but I can't It's frustrating, please halp! varakz
Bethesda's highres texture pack is causing this glitch. Loading Bethesda's highres texture pack through Skyrim.ini has helped me to get rid of it. You can try to use this: Skyrim.ini[Archive]sResourceArchiveList=Skyrim - Misc.bsa, Skyrim - Shaders.bsa, Skyrim - Textures.bsa, HighResTexturePack01.bsa, HighResTexturePack02.bsa, HighResTexturePackFix.bsa, Skyrim - Interface.bsa, Skyrim - Animations.bsa, Skyrim - Meshes.bsa, Skyrim - Sounds.bsa, Update.bsa, HearthFires.bsa, Dawnguard.bsa and deactivate HighResTexturePack esps in \Data folder
Blacksmoke16
im confused on what your tell me to do. Deactive the hd texture pack and do what with the ini file?
varakz
Yes. I recommend you:1. deactivate HighResTexturePack esps (3 files: Pack 1, Pack 2 and Fix) in \Data folder;2. Add Highres texture bsa (HighResTexturePack01.bsa, HighResTexturePack02.bsa, HighResTexturePackFix.bsa) to Skyrim.ini;3. Check the glitch in Skyrim. It's only affecting the sky. Edited November 30, 2012 by jikko123
