Nifty62
Hey all, Having some trouble installing a couple mods. As is stated in the title, they are Fook 2 and MMM. I've tried NMM, Fomm, and manual install. After 6 hours I'm about to put my fist through the screen. Fook installs fine. As soon as I install the MMM it crashes on startup. My load order is as follows: Fallout3.esmMMM - DLC Anchorage.espMMM - DLC Broken Steel.espMMM - DLC Point Lookout.espMMM - DLC The Pitt.espMMM - DLC Zeta.espMMM - Master Menu Module.espMMM - Natural Selection.espMMM - Tougher Traders.espMMM - Zones Respawn.espMMM.esmMMM.esp I've had the game setup in the past with way more mods than this with no problem at all, this is getting very frustrating. Any help would be awesome!
M48A5
Your problem is missing master files. Look at your load order and guess what is missing and out of place. Remember, Fallout3.esm must load first followed by the dlc .esm then any mod .esm, then the mod .esp..esm = Elder Scrolls Master.esp = Elder Scrolls Plugin
Nifty62
Ok, I looked at the load order as well as restoring my original Data file and only installed MMM considering its the one giving me the issue. I read the readme and put my load order to match. Nifty62
Ok, I figured out how mentally retarded I am and put the DLC esms in the load order. Here is my order now, the game starts now but I haven't started a new game yet. Please give me any input on my order that you think should be changed. blove
Your MMM/FOOK2 FOIP patches are not for MMM 6.x or FOOK2 1.2 Open Beta. You should be using MMMFOOK2 Compatibility Patches by BAN instead of those. Your load order needs some serious help. The readme for the compatibility patches I linked has a sample load order, but I will post my current load order below so that you can use it as a guide. EDIT: Make sure that you are using the WMKFOOK2 Compatibility Patches by Antistar which are up to date for WMK/FOOK2 and not the FOIP ones. Nifty62
Thanks for the help man! Here is my new load order, I hope it's at least improved lol. blove
You will need to make a merged patch for your WMK DLC plugins to work properly. Make sure to place it last in your load order. Move "WMKAA12Shotgun.esp" up to be just below "WeaponModKits - FOOK.esp" just to be tidy. Mart's Mutant Mod - Feral Ghoul Rampage.espMart's Mutant Mod - Hunting & Looting.espMart's Mutant Mod - Increased Spawns.espMart's Mutant Mod - Soft Unleveler.esp I would take those plugins out and use the MMM in-game menu to make those changes. Nifty62
Thanks for the quick response! How would I go about making a merged patch? And as for the MMM plugins, does that make it less likely to cause issues?
Nifty62
The game is freezing quite frequently now. Is that a possible side effect of not having the merged patch or would that be another issue?
blove
Why have extra plugins setting something when you can control those same settings through the in-game menu? You need a merged patch for all of the WMK plugins to work together. When you install MMM you must do a clean save as Martigen recommends. As for crashing, start lowering settings - uGrids to 5, less MMM spawns, no ultra texture packs, using Fallout Stutter Remover, etc.
