a guide is not necessary

 

Add the below into Fallout4Custom.ini file, exactly as written:

 

[Archive]
sResourceDataDirsFinal=
bInvalidateOlderFiles=1
and that is all that is needed to enable modding.
no other changes are necessary, with the only exception of disabling the pipboy fx, if you use custom map mods, if true then also add this below into the fallout4custom.ini file:
[Pipboy]
bPipboyDisableFX=1

 

that is literally all you need to do to properly set up the game for modding
