ViktoriaLanders
In a fan-made article which requested the use of a toolset, 2 Bioware employees, Allan Schumacher and David Gaider made a few comments on the topic and answered a few questions. The most important news, however, came from David Gaider who said: "I really doubt it can happen-- certainly not on release, anyway." Source That means we should not expect many fan based mods (which will be especially important since DA3 world will likely going to be a vast one) and to need a separated section about DA3 in Nexus (like we didn't with DA2 too) since the mods created without a toolset are too limiting and more difficult to be made. These are sad news, indeed.
Thandal
I found the entire BSN thread more en- than dis-couraging (after the disappointment of no Toolset update for DA2.) But then I'm a "glass-half-full" kind of person to begin with... :whistling:
lera213
I think Modding is as entertaining as playing the game. I am not a modder but I use them and I can tell you I've had so much fun trying out new mods, and seeing the wonderful talents people have. To buy a game that you cannot mod is just a big downer for me now. If not toolset then I won't be buying.
lera213
If they have been working on DA3 for three years why couldn't they employ at least 2 people to work on a toolset all this time? They could have put the toolset up as a DLC and charge for it to recoup some cash.
stiffneck
They will not be releasing a toolset for DA3. Not many EA games come with toolsets to protect their precious DLC. Shame they do not accept that if they make a great game people will buy the DLC anyway

A company that so strongly puts $ before clients'satisfaction doesn't deserve mine.
