BurnableAddress
So, in light of the many pump-action shotgun mods that have never worked for the actual reload shell count, I have a question about that. Because, I know there have even been attempts to make a mod that fixes this for all weapons, but, well, here it is. Why haven't any box-mags been applied to any of these!? The appeal with the pump-action shotguns was the fact that there was actually a pump animation with each pull of the trigger, and the issue was always that the amount of re-loads was never equal to the the bullets fired. So why not compromise and make a pump-action or lever-action rifle that simply has a box-mag and animation for one. One of these existed in Fallout 3 (although it didn't have a pump-action animation) but all I can say is that I really really really really really would love to have a pump or lever action that simply removes the entire problem with these: the reload. StormWolf01
While I personally cannot speak for the mod authors that have produced these awesome guns... I can say why I wouldn't do it myself. IF I knew how, which I don't have the skills for.1) It's not lore friendly to the weapon. IRL you have to fundamentally change a tube feed weapon in a massive way, to change it from a tube feed to a mag feed. Depending on how the mechanics of the gun work, you may not even be able to make it change. But that's real world, and doesn't have anything to do with a game. 2) You have to create the 3d model for the magazine, as well as the animations for the mag swap. Both of those are a lot of work.3) You have to figure out how to make the gun use a different reload animation for the box mag. There are certain parts of the weapon that you can attach a different animation to. But again, afterwards you have to go back and make sure that everything works both in 1st person and 3rd person.Bad animations can mess up more stuff than just how it looks in the game. Again, I can't speak for any other modders, but that's why I wouldn't do it. Too much extra work. Especially since many of these weapons already have had weeks or months worth of work in them already from either converting the models and anims, or hand-making them themselves. I myself also would NOT deal with all the "lore freaks" out there that would complain that the real world gun never had a box mag, Or that it's impossible (in their opinion) to convert it to box mag. Just ain't got time for all dat noize! Tho I do agree. Both in game, and IRL, I really hate using a tube feed firearm. It's just too darned slow to reload. Most specifically in a weapon that you need to use Immediately if your life depends on it.

StormWolf01
Yeah, from what I hear, the bullet reloaded system really works really well. Good post there Webb :)I've even heard that it's something that revolutionizes those types of guns, and that it's something that butthesda should have implemented in the start. If it's still too slow to reload for your liking, you can change how fast the game runs the reload animations. Pull the gun mod up in Xedit, scroll down the left side til you get to the name of the mod for the weapon and click the + sign next to it to expand it.Now scroll down til you get to Weapon and click the + on that. Then click on the name of the weapon that you want to mod, and scroll down almost to the bottom of the right side panel. Here's a pic. This is just for the vanilla assault rifle. It was an easy one to find, LOL.

BurnableAddress
I stand corrected, going back and looking at the bullet count reload systems, it has no bug reports, a lot of really excellent comments, I will be re-visiting this mod this evening. Any idea of a few shotguns that implement this I could try out! Thanks guys, you are life-savers. If this does work well man this is going to make using shotguns sooooooooo much fun! EDIT:Nevermind I checked requirements for the mod and the Ithica is exactly what I am looking for.

BurnableAddress
I'm gonna try to mod the shotgun so the firing sound is just a hilarious cartoony face-punching sound.
