al9984 Posted February 16, 2020 Posted February 16, 2020 I've just started creating interiors and I'd like to know what the "Location" of a cell does - i.e. the LCTN form type, under WorldData/Location. The CK wiki (https://www.creationkit.com/fallout4/index.php?title=Location) doesn't really help, could anyone point me towards a better explaination?
Zorkaz Posted February 16, 2020 Posted February 16, 2020 Ah sorry, I wanted to update this stuff.Basically: -You can link an encounter zone to it-Set the map marker-Set the music-Give it keywords (Very important for settlements, less so for companion comments. I don't want to give more info about the keywords and what they do, that's another topic for itself)-It will contain infos about Bosses and such (Important for some quests and workshops)-It will contain infos about the edge and center marker, as well as the workshop workbench and everything else with a location ref type And alot of other things I currently forgot but other people will hopefully expand onWhile it isn't mandatory for every simple cell it should be done anyway. Also about the encounter zone. This can be very useful for non-settlement locs too, as you can set your levelled-enemies level range, set it to no-respawn, give it a faction etc... Don't forget to set your parent location to "Commonwealth"
al9984 Posted February 25, 2020 Author Posted February 25, 2020 Thanks, I'd better go back and add it to the interior I've already done.
