link182
For some reason when I look in the helmAA in ck and click edit thereâs nothing shown in the preview render attempts to use a custom mesh also donât show despite being certain Iâve set them up correctly and just result in the chat cry er wearing them in game going bald. I tried wearing the vanilla helm in game and they are fine so I canât figure out whatâs going on any help here would be of the greatest assistance. cumbrianlad
I have just checked the armor addon forms for a set of armor that I added. Selecting to edit any of the helmets to edit the models does not show a preview. No vanilla head gear shows up this way either. They all still work in game. My feeling is that you must have made an error setting up either the 'Armor' form, or the 'Armor Addon' forms. It could be that even if you did do everything correctly on one 'ArmorAddon' form, have you done them all? Helmets need lots of 'ArmorAddon' forms to work for all of the playable races. The blades helmet needs 3. The Companions helmet uses 4. You will then need to add all of these 'ArmorAddon' forms to the 'Armor' form, or else some races can't wear them. Because the Helmet uses the 'Hair' Biped Object, this would explain why the hair is disappearing from your NPCs. They are having their hair removed when they equip the item, but there is no model available for the game to render. Also, with circlets, you may need to do some additional work if you don't want your mod to conflict with the USSEP patch. The patch alters the 'Armor Addon' forms to correct an issue with circlets sticking out from the heads of elven races. Even if you are using new 'Armor AddOn' forms, you will reintroduce that error for your custom circlets if you don't set them up as the guys on the patch team did.
