zhobezan
Good day! I've been crawling Amazon UK today and stumbled on Fallout New Vegas Ultimate Edition from Mastertronic. And the question is: it's a non-steam release, right? I have some games from Mastertronic publisher and, (thanks God!), they are not bound to steam.I have never bought steam games and never will (yes, i don't have FNV still and never have played it (thanks to steam & bethesda >:[)). Oh, and here is the link Edited November 27, 2012 by zhobezan
Ygfbv
the DRM new vegas uses is steam, so in all likelihood it will still require it. what's with the hate for steam anyway? it makes patching, etc, seamless and easy.

I have it. And i see no reason not to release FNV:UE steam-free version too. what's with the hate for steam anyway? it makes patching, etc, seamless and easy.Ah, let's say i don't need steam to play games.

Honestly, you should email Mastertronic, not ask here. I don't THINK I've heard of a non-Steam version of any FNV versions, but I don't claim to be omniscient, either. -X

JimboUK
Mastertronic is the seller, the game itself is nothing to do with them. It's the standard DVD version which will require Steam.

It wasn't released even now. Release date is December 7th, 2012.How do you know it will require steam? Do you have proof?
