CTD when looting...

hi everyone :)

Recently reinstalled Skyrim and with it all the lovely juicy mods that I thought would be awesome to run around with BUT lo and behold the awesomely annoying and frustrating Skyrim CTD's with no error message just started happening when I went to loot a wolf corpse.

The wierd thing is that I think I can loot humanoids and containers with no abandon but I can't loot animals (more specifcally a wolf in a wolf pack).

I deliberately quick saved before killing a group of wolves just after escaping Helgen, proceeded to loot one; no problem, quick saved and went to loot another and it ctd's.

For the life of me can't think why and what is causing this unless Skytest real animals and predators is playing up like it did for me 7 months ago.

My rig is more than capable of handling the mods -_-

Everything is up to date and I don't have Hearthfire.

I had a similar problem at one time because I had forgotten to enable the proper compatibility patch for a weapons mod with skyre. I'd go back through and really carefully check any aromor/weapons mod, make sure you have the correct patch for your version of sky re, and have installed/disabled the original exactly as instructed. Also...those three mods at the end, are they unrecognised by BOSS? Have you tried to place them manually?

I would also have a look at your hairpacks. Seriously, I have a brute of a rig, but Skyrim will crash if I try and load either the Fallout or Oblivion hair packs with Apachii's. Although oddly enough, I CAN use Lovely Hairstyles and MacKom's with Apachii.

 

Is so hard to predict what this game will do with any mod combo. I have more than one armor mod - Hothtroopers and Armonizer - that alter the levelled lists and have no problems. But then I do not have SkyRe as well. So you need to deffo do what Georgiegril suggests. I remember it was always fun getting FCOM working with certain other mods back in the OB days.
