TheAwesomestRuler
Hi there guys,I was trying to create a full functioning LOD for my mod project. 2 of 3 things are fully functional, but the last one is driving me mad. :(LOD-mesh is workingLOD-textures are workingVisible When Distant objects are not working, but causing my game to crash. What I did?1.) I opened the heightmap editor and generated a FULL lodmesh (not the quick prototype!).Works fine!2.) Then I used TES4QLod to generate textures for my worldspace.Works fine, too.3.) Then I used CS to generate the visible when distant objects by clicking on WorldTesting/UpdateDistantLodData.But when starting my game it instantly crashes. Hickory
I thought some of the tools mentioned might be a better option than the CS, but I'm no expert on VWD or LOD.
TheAwesomestRuler
I tried several of those tools but no one is working fine for me. :(
Euripedus
I hate the fricking height map. Any major changes to land heights almost guarantees I will crash the CS or the game...UNTIL I was editing a cell and discovered a little check box called "Hand Changed". Now I have no problems when editing landmass heights or textures.
dubiousintent
Have you tried using the Construction Set Extender (CSE, which requires OBSE)? It fixes a lot of CS bugs that cause crashes and general UI problems. Not sure about height map issues though, but can't hurt to try. -Dubious-
