vanbreukelin
Hello,I'm not able to activate the retexture in my Fallout 3. What I did:created folder under data: textures/characters/female and textures/characters/raiderfemalecopied the 2 files and renamed one of them to upperbodyfemale.dds. The other file is called upperbodyfemale_n.dds.Now i modified all .ini files: I have 2 of them in MyGames.... and 1 of them in Programme/Bethes..../Fallout 3/. I changed the following entry from bInvalidateOlderFiles=0 to bInvalidateOlderFiles=1Then I created an Archiveinvalidation.txt with a tool from this page. I'm using the german game with the bloodpatch and I didn't update the game until now. After all this procedure, the females still have their underware when you undress a killed person... What is wrong? Regards, vanbreukelin
tsibson
A dds file wont change the model itself (the .nif file), it only changes the texture file. Each nif only has skin branches of the area of skin that shows in the model, if that makes sense. For instance, to create this armor I copied a skin from another nif and pasted it to metalarmor, then created transparencies in the texture dds.http://www.fallout3nexus.com/imageshare/im...-1227448054.jpg
vanbreukelin
Hello,as I remember at the beginning of Oblivion, it was a simple .dds file to change the perons view. Did Bethesta learned from the past and put an extra nif for the undressed person? But I'm wondering why a .nif is needed, when you have a look on the preview of the original .dds file you'll see the bra and pantie and on the modfied files you'll see nothing of those.Or are the bra and pantie in the .dds file only a space holder for .nif file? Thanks, vanbreukelin
