Midicow Posted November 25, 2008 Share Posted November 25, 2008 The "Bug" involves your character acting like a boy npc.. emitting the voicefiles and such associated with them. I'll go through how I found it..when you start the game and you're in the playpen area, but before you see the special book.. tcl off the map and tcl again into the abyss, you'll get teleported to the escaping vault scene.I went off and screwed with the furniture a bit, then ran into some radroaches.. my char sounded like he was emitting the boy pain sounds..Being unable to attack I tcled off and ran looking for the special book.. when lo and behold my character emitted "Must have been nothing" in a young boy's voice.. I tried it again and yes this happens every time.. character emits one of the various voice files associated with a boy npc losing its target. So maybe the player is an npc before this or something.. idk. My mod list incase it was something on my end only.. SpeedyB64 Posted November 26, 2008 Share Posted November 26, 2008 Well in Oblivion at the beginning of the character gen quest the script moves the Player npc to the starting point. The player is an npc, in oblivion the player is in the npc list. You must have skipped the bit of code that disables the npc voices.
