Whilst i'll probably just make a couple of new houses and let myself play on after the main quest I see a lot of potential in the fallout 3 engine If I had the time or skill to I'd love to create a huge mod along the lines of the older horror movies. I'd love to make a Mod that imagined a zombie infestation in 50's America. like the fallout 3 universe only with zombies instead of a nuclear apocalypse. you could play as a survivor and find other survivors, set up a group find somewhere to stay and make it safe from zombies. then have it so almost nothing respawns so you must go further and further from your camp in order to survive and bring back stuff for your group, or kill them steal what they have and set out on your own in the knowledge that humanity is a few people closer to extinction. your decision maximum immersion simply cos of all the millions of zombie mods and games out there i don't think there's single one that's actually role-playing.

Two main mods have been sticking in my head.

 

1. Flesh out the game over lv 20. Eg Adjust the skill cap to go over 100 and adjust locks, computers etc to require a skill over 100 to use. Also creation of new perks to fill out the new levels.

 

2. A new faction. Probably just something simple like a few guys in a hideout. I will do custom texturing on their armours and maybe one or two as deco in whatever building they are in. Also some scripiting to allow the player to join this new faction and possibly receive a quest or two.

 

Been looking for a new game to mod and I was damn lucky FO3 showed up :)

I am not sure if this has been mentioned already, I was wondering if races have been concidered yet? (in progress?)

 

In Fallout Tactics, I believe you were able to take on the role of a ghoul, deathclaw, or supermutant as opposed to simply a human. The races even had their own perks and such.

 

I realize a deathclaw would not really have much to do unless you somehow use the FO2 storyline and say it's one of the few that have enough INT to talk or something. But a supermutant could join others in rampaging the wastes, and a ghould could sort himself out and try to fend off angry "racist" humans. There are many possibilities for each.

New army, new monsters, new weapons, and a new place for my creations to roam that should not conflict with any other mod. Oh and 2 vehicles x) that I am certain will be a huge hit and take all your companions where ever you need to be. I am way to damn excited.

 

I would like to see original mods. Fallout 3 has such a crazy ass open field to play with. I mean vulk we could get out guys to space couldn't we XD ? What about a new state huh huh? Or sharks with lazer beams on there fricken foreheads!!! Blue lazer beams btw ;). I cant remember who was asking for blue lazer beams XD.

Ammo types, rocket types, and change the Fat Man into a launcher for any grenade or mine.

 

More benefits for Charisma and Cha-based skills; right now they're horribly imbalanced to the point of pointlessness. If someone wants to play a character like Rock from Black Lagoon, why not? Benefits should include being able to speak with people who would otherwise be hostile, positive reactions regardless of karma, trade with raider camps that look like unimplemented shops, ability to raise a party of companions/bodyguards without exploits, perks for high speech and barter that aren't strictly limited to speaking or trading.

Seconded. I absolutely, one hundred percent, all the way would love to have this. It's one of the things about the game that really irks me.
