Vortex won't save Bodyslide/outfit studio changes.

Heyas Qwert.

Alright, so as for the subject line of your post : Vortex and bodyslide are two completely unrelated programs. Neither has anything to do with the other. So yeah, vortex won't save the changes, it's not it's job to do so.

Make SURE that you have CBBE.esp (or whatever body you're using) Active and Deployed.

CBBE and Looksmenu can be tricky about that.

If that's not what's wrong there might be a couple of these:

if you're not seeing your results from bodyslide there's a few things that could be going on.

May not have it installed correctly.

May not have your files set up to save correctly (to the correct folders) from the BS settings.

May not be building your bodies/clothes correctly. (Such as not saving your preset correctly or not doing batch builds)

Depending on where you have it installed, BS may not have windows write access to the folders. Check your folder permissions, and make sure that bodyslide and outfit studio have administrative permissions.

Also be aware that (possibly) while you were gone, depending on the last time you played... back in November 2019 Butthesda made changes to the game that make older mods not compatible, or not fully compatible with the newer versions of the game. That means that the vanilla game will not run some of the older mods. You have to use this https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/42497 in order to run them. That's not what is going on with bodyslide, since it's a seperate program, but it will still affect you with other mods.

Sorry I should clarify, I run Bodyslide through Vortex as you are meant to and bodyslide did actually work until I started to update my mods at which point something seems to have broke as now I don't even get the message from Vortex that any file changes have been detected after running bodyslide and applying the changes, I will try the Version checker patch and see if that helps so thanks for bringing that to my attention.

Heyas Qwert! Hmmm. Dunno anything about using BS thru vortex. I don't use vortex. But I'll take your word for it :)

Yeah, that version checker is a must have now days, after they updated the game last year. Mod incompatibilities with the new versions.

"It just works!" HAH! Not.

LOL Anyways, good luck :)
