Creation Kit Outfits

Currently creating a mod to replace NPC armors with modded armors. I can create and save new outfits but their contents are not saved. Even editing the actor to wear the new outfit saves. But still, the outfit is empty.

What could cause the CK to not save the contents of a custom outfit?

Make sure you are running the CK as admin. Also, if the resources you are using in your mod come from a different .esp (Like an armor mod) then your changes referencing materials from the other mod will not save. You must convert the file you are using resources from to an .esm. Install Wyre Bash, and in the bundled help in the program there is a very clear and easy tutorial for converting .esp to .esm.

I don't think that will work Mshoap13, as the file will still list the .esm as a master and will crash without it. I know it is inconvenient, but it's just how bethesda does things. You can A) ask your downloaders to esm-ify the master on their own, B) ask the author to distribute their mod as an .esm, or C) get permission from the author to use their resources fully so that you can build the armors in the CK without the first mod active, and assign everything yourself.

Best of luck!
