hey guys i am in zion and they all talk about Jesus Christ(pbuh) and all since i am not Christian but i do believe in God and most of what daniel and other guy are telling me and when i disagree with some they call me gentile is there a mod to change something that i tell them i am not something like equivalent of infidel in Islam?

In which I probably would be interested in modding that story content , to bring them more in line with how mormonism is ... complete with bishop interviews of 12 year old kids about their masturbation habits :ohmy:

And then dialogue choices confronting them with truth about Joseph Smith , that shuts them UP ! :pinch:

But !!! Probably not interesting story content for most people ... only anti mormons.

Or the label of apostate mormon ... being what a devout mormon would call an ex mormon.

Much worse than being called a gentile ... so at least there is that for you to consider ... especially because you could then be baptized after you're dead had you not gotten baptized in life. Unlike me ... who just simply got their baptism revoked.

actually i like all of them they are really good guys true Christians in my opinion, just do not like their attitude toward other religions in my opinion all three major religion are good guys and i just like some respect instead of calling me the g/i words.

But it is just a game ... and simply story content.

What about all the other content where an NPC will disrespect you ?

Why this particular label ?

 

Are you putting it on par with the gore/sexual content , and how it might be offensive and inappropriate for some audiences ?

 

Hence mods have been made to cull that content.

if it was not religious related i'd murder them in the most gruesome way but since they are christian and i will possibly encounter Jewish people i can't stomach to kill them on the spot i feel guilty if i kill a believer specially an angel type character. if it was skyrim and someone disrespect me i would have done it but this one i can not do no matter what ( i did with a battle born and a racist guy in windhelm).

Well each to their own I suppose. But I think we better avoid crossing the line of discussing religion content in the game to discussing religion period.

Since religious discussion is a no no on this forum.

 

So to your question on a mod for it. Changing the text of the dialogue is easy enough.

But the audio file would still exist with the word gentile. So you would have to replace the whole dialogue response audio file also to get rid of it. By rerecording it ... or if you were handy with an audio editing program , you could dub in a sound clip for that word keeping most of the original file so it doesn't sound so out of place in the game.

 

To end on a religious note : I won't give you a fish , but I will try and teach you how to fish :laugh:
