LOOT should be set up to run through MO2 or it will not find the files. Once set up you have to run it from MO2. Before running LOOT make sure all mods and plugins you want are active. Then run LOOT from MO2. See post #15 here

Note all info LOOT gives you. Read all the notes on the mods it is offered on. If it says you are missing a patch, go find it. If it says to read the mod description page, do so. If it says two mods are incompatible then, for now, pick the one you definitely want and disable the mod of the one you do not. The whole mod, not just the plugin. Later when your LO is conflict resolved you can research more into it if it really is incompatible or just needs a patch. Keep repeating this until all issues are resolved with LOOT. Afterwards make sure all the mods pane alignment still basically matches the plugins as I do not believe LOOT does both.

Before you go any farther there's a few mods you should DL. Don't know which version of TKAA you have, I'm guessing V. one.

Anyway, You dumped RSChildren and it's patches & went with TKAA, so you need some patches from "The Kids Are Alright" files.

Cutting room floor patch

Palaces and Castles patch

Alternate start Live Another Life

Hearthfire Multiple Adoptions

Helgen Reborn.

Awesome. I've been running both Loot and xedit through MO2 so good to go there. The only messages I get through Loot is quick auto clean for xedit v4.0 which I have. Do I need to clean or is that what xedit does? Also, TKAA is v 5.0 the final cut and I added the ones baer suggested. Everything checks out and I still only have the quick auto clean message.

Ok I watched the vids and used the quick clean on each warning message and now the only ones I have are on the 3 DLS. Can't seem to clean them though. Is there a vid or place I can go to get more info?

Ok I went to the page Indiao suggested and followed Gpoets lead. OMG I can't believe this all worked. I'm gomma play test this here in a bit. I can't thank you guys enough for all the help and patience. You don't know how much this means to me. I can't wait to see my sons face.......and see how much he likes the game set up. You've made this vet fathers life. I'd hug each one of you if I could.

I'll post again after I play test it.

Here is the link to cleaning mods and dlcs with xedit https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLlN8weLk86XiGXJI4DaRa1QIq1zhDpD8V

Cleaning the "Wild Edits" shown in LOOT for Dawnguard require a special process. Follow this video here for that https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1QG7GGT6ntQ

If you have addressed the rest of LOOT's flags the above should be the last you need to do with LOOT assuming that when you sorted with LOOT you click the "Apply" button after. The apply button appears where the Sort one is now after LOOT finishes sorting. If you fail to click Apply LOOT will not transfer its changes to MO2.

Now that you have your mods in MO2, addressed all LOOT's concerns, cleaned all mods that LOOT says and dlcs, and removed the wild edits from Dawnguard, now you can begin working on conflict resolution in xedit per the Tome guide. That will finish the process of fixing bad conflicts.

Now Kit, IDK how long your son's leave is for and if it will be finished when he has to return, but it is nothing to pick up a fairly cheap USB and send it all to him. All that needs to be on it is the mods and patches you fixed. He will have the game on his laptop already. So if we run out of time before he has to return, worry not. We will help you finish it all and can tell you how to set everything up so when he downloads it all most the work is done. He can refer back to your ending LO list and put patches from like FOMOD installers, if any, in the correct order. This is nothing compared to what you are doing so do not feel like you are leaving him hanging with it all. If you did that within minutes he will have it up and going. I just did not want time frames making you feel pressured and rushed. That could cause one to miss little things in the processes which probably would be a nightmare to find as one already thinks they are addressed.

I'm not rushed. I have til Tuesday to get this done so I'm taking my time and absorbing the info. Hell, if I can figure all this out I may play Skyrim again but modded. Red Dead Redemption is getting old now so I'm looking for something "new"....lol. I play tested a fresh game and everything looks great except for 2 things......The NPC's have terminal black-face syndrome and not all of the sliders in CBBE work. I think I'm missing some plug ins for it but Loot is clear and I used the quick auto clean to fix the easy stuff and the xedit to fix the "wild thangs" so I'm not sure how to fix the black face. I see the light at the end of the tunnel.
