Lighting/Texture problem

Hey guys

I've been having this problem where anytthing(characters, buildings, etc.) are facing a source of light, most of the time being the sun, the outline gets all blurry and blocky. https://i.imgur.com/U0nYgWb.png

I've uninstalled my ENB, texture replacers being used are CBBE, Sanctuary/Red Rocket, Weapons and Armors,, drivers are updated(AMD) and no settings from the software are replacing in-game ones.

How do I go about this? Do I uninstall everything(game and mods), is it a INI setting that'll make me stupid for not noticing or something else?

Thanks in advance.

Heyas Saint!

Ok, you said that you uninstalled your ENB. Double check the mod page on that to see if there's any ini settings that had to be changed with the ENB.

I know almost nothing about them, but I do know that some of them affect or require changes there.

If that is the case, depending on how much of the .ini you need to change, it might be better/easier to just start over with the .ini file.

1) Make backup copies of your .ini files to a different location on your computer.

2) Delete your current .ini files after making the backups.

3)Temporarily disable your mods

4)Start the game from the fallout4 launcher.exe

5) Let the game start back up long enough to rebuild the files.

6) Go back and open up the newly built ini files along with the copies from the backups that you made. Compare the two, and copy and paste the required lines from the backups into the new ones. The lines that are required for mods.

7) Re activate your mods.

What you are seeing is definitely something off about your game settings. Restoring or replacing your ini files should take care of it.

Hope this helps you out

-Storm

Edit: PS- Don't go about uninstalling your game for a while. I'm pretty sure that this is something we can get sorted out without having to take those drastic measures!

Heyas Again Saint.

Mkay, so I know that it's been a while since you've replied back. But I just found something else that may be quite directly related to your problem.

It's pixelated godrays. Which, as you've noticed is light related.

Tuning your settings to reduce godray/godray effects would most likely help with the problem, but it might not be something that you can entirely get rid of. (Tho reducing it should also help your FPS.)

Hey again. Ok, another user had posted the exact same thing that you had posted about here in your thread.

If you haven't fixed it yet. SpeedyNL posted the lines in your ini file to edit to make the godray effects go away. https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/8489598-enb-blur-around-objects/&do=findComment&comment=78349853
