bcaton
I looked in vortex. It's last. Load order 310.I created the patch a while ago to resolve conflicts. Especially in Hangman's Alley, where I was getting the horrible flickering of buildings winking in and out of existence. Remove Exterior and Interior Pre-culling script was used to apply a removal of pre-culled data and the changes were stored in my patch, and Hangman's Alley worked fine. But when I moved to the settlement days later, suddenly the flickering problem is back.I checked in FO4edit, the program I used to create it. It was last. Now it is not last. "Scrap everything" is, and presumably that reintroduced the problem.Checked load order in Vortex. Vortex insists it is last. How come they have different load orders??Closed both programs down without doing anything and re-opened them. Suddenly FO4edit is showing the correct order. I'm about to load up the game just to check, but if my load order has been wandering about like that, then I expect my saved games have been corrupted. Sooner or later, I will get CTDs with increasing frequency. Yay.Yes, I know, in future I'll use MO2, but I committed to Vortex when I restarted playing, have a ton of mods downloaded, have limited downloads, and don't want to scrap it all and start again until I can get access to a decent internet connection. So please don't tell me I should have used MO2 - I'd never heard of it before, and used to use NMM, and just trusted nexus when they said Vortex was the replacement. StormWolf01
Ok, so the problem that you're having with your load order is most likely vortex. Also the fact that Xedit doesn't check your vortex folders it checks your default fallout4 folders.to make absolutely sure that your game and xedit are loading it last, double check your plugins.txt file.located here C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Local\Fallout4 xxx will be whatever username that you use to log into the computer. If your patch isn't the last on the list, just edit the file so that it is. And make sure you have the asterisk in front of it, to designate it as active. Also make sure that you don't leave any gaps between the lines that list the names of the plugins. So like this*abcdefg*abscdefg*abscdefg not like this*acdefg *abcdefgabcdefg Also while you have that folder opened up in appdata. If you go up another level, you will most likely see a folder in appdata for Vortex. It's been a LONG time since I used vortex and that was only for 2 weeks before I trashed it. But I THINK all of your downloaded/installed mods are store there in appdata/vortex.
