autumnsky38 Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 HI everyone. I was having some graphic problems when I had Dawnguard and Hearthfire installed, so I uninstalled both of them. Now I'd like to re-install Dawnguard, but when I go to get it again in Steam, it tells me that I already have it and it looks like I would need to buy it again in order to have it again. Not crazy about the idea but am thinking about it, but even if I do, I'd have to buy it as a gift and I don't know if I would even be able to use it myself if I did it that way. Just wondering if anyone has found a good way to uninstall the DLC and get it installed again? I appreciate any help you can give me,Tracy
Wastelander121 Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 (edited) Validate Game Cache - it'll re-download the files, I've done it when I accidentally deleted the files of the hires pack and it'll re-download the missing DLC Edited December 4, 2012 by Wastelander121
autumnsky38 Posted December 4, 2012 Author Posted December 4, 2012 Hi Wastelander. Thanks for that. I have to admit that I'm not sure how to go about finding the cache---could you tell me how I can find that? Thanks!Tracy
fms1 Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Go to Steam Library, in the game column on the left find The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, right- click it go to properties, click it and go to the Local Files tab, and it should be the bottom button.
autumnsky38 Posted December 5, 2012 Author Posted December 5, 2012 Hey guys. I tried going into that section and getting into the cache that way, but the weird thing is, even though I've been playing Skyrim on and off for over a year now, it's only listed on my "pinned" section, it's not listed on that left-hand menu at all. Do you know how I can get it listed there so that I then can go into it and find my cache? Thanks so much!Tracy
