Katarsi
I wasn't sure whether I posted this in the right place, so there is an identical topic in the Technical Support section. Moderators, delete the misplaced one if it is so. All of these behaviors/occurrences are rare, but they still happen randomly in my game. They don't always apply to the same objects/NPCs.Sometimes killed NPCs fall through the floor. Even when I disable collision via console, they aren't there (beneath). Often it's impossible to loot them because of that, unless their weapon is left on the ground. Some items in the world aren't positioned correctly (e.g. an item half-sunken through the shelf) or they just float weirdly. Sometimes items fall through the ground entirely.Sometimes my arrows don't hit an NPC, even though the aiming was perfect and I saw the arrow go right through them. This usually occurs at medium to long distance. It's bloody annoying.NPCs get stuck, messed-up pathfinding. Examples:- I follow Hadvar to Riverwood, he runs into the village and then runs back to the front of the entrance and just stands there. He never gets to talk to Alvor because of that. After leaving the village, he disappears.- Hulda getting stuck at the counter when I rent a room at The Bannered Mare. After a while, she may reach the room eventually - or just pop-in on top of the bed upstairs. The ground seems to be super-slick. If there is a slope, people will start slowly sliding. This is especially prominent during conversations with the player. NPCs/followers/creatures are more prone to sliding than the player. There's a lag in followers' reactions to quests. I don't know what issues my game could have to cause these behaviors. If you have an idea, please let me know. I'll be happy to provide more info on my game settings and specific mods. Indio21
Hello Katarsi, "I'll be happy to provide more info on my game settings and specific mods" yes, that would be most helpful as there are fix mods for the game. I have seen these issues to a degree in a vanilla game.

Indio21
A plugin list would work to start. If you grab one of the generated ones or copy it just make sure it is the plugins and in order per the priority. Also, what MM are you using? Indio21
My apology, I edited in the part asking about what MM you are using. Is the MatorPatchXL.esp a Mator version of a Merged Patch? I am not seeing the tell tale plugin for the SSE Engine Fiixes so do you have that one also?

And I do have SSE Engine Fixes (both parts), it's not a regular plugin so that's why it's not on the list.
Indio21
Duhh, no plugin on that first half. My brain is still stuck on conflict resolution. Read this section on merge patches..... Merged Patch"The simplest patch to make is the TES5edit merged patch. This patch can merge some types of conflicts in ingestible (food and potions), ammunition, armor, container (like merchant chests), faction, ingredient, magic effect, miscellaneous item, NPC, and weapon records. It cannot do all types of conflicts in all of those records. It can also handle leveled item and leveled npc forms, but generally it doesn't do a very good job of this. The merged patch will automatically read any mod you have loaded into TES5edit when you run it. It determines whether those mods change any of the things it is capable of patching and combine those changes into a new esp, which will have those mods as masters. It is NOT to be confused with merging plugins. The TES5edit merged patch is best for simple changes. It's especially useful if you have multiple mods that add keywords to objects. It can't really do much past that." A merged patch is not a solution for performing Conflict Resolution on one's LO. A person still needs to perform CR to verify things like navmesh problems that I think you maybe having conflicts with. As a basic example say the game sets floor level at one height but then you have a mod that expands that dungeon and raises it. Guess I should clarify, this a basic and hypothetical example because I just got the know how to patch small issues with navmesh but do not know if this example would make your situation or not. When the mod expands it raised the floor level and allowed the NPC to drop to the first navmesh. Or the game makes a shelf in a dungeon. ModA then comes along and raises said shelf. Then modB comes along and puts something on the shelf that is supposed to be a vanilla game height. Therefore it looks like it is sticking through the shelf. The link I will post below is on different kinds of patches, automated patching tools, and manually patching with xedit. As you will see a merged or bashed patch is not an alternative to doing CR on ones LO. Now you need CK to fix navmesh issues but xedit will show missing load door triangles for NPCs and such. It may do more but that is as far as my learning has taken me. I am putting off doing as much navmesh patches as possible on my LO until the last of CR. Read over this link and let us know your thoughts. You been in the world of modding longer than me by the look of your # of posts so I am factoring you may have much more knowledge than myself as my exposure began not long ago.
