SSE Creation Kit Warning Messages

Hello all!

 

I'm new to modding SkyrimSE and I thought I'd try my hand at actually making some myself. I downloaded and installed the Creation Kit from the Bethesda launcher, but as soon as I launched it I started getting warning messages. By the time it finished loading I had 148, then as soon as I loaded a cell I got about 50-60 more, is this normal? I read that there are always some warnings that come up and can be ignored but this seems a little much.

Good old CK and its warning messages!

 

Just ignore the lot. They don't matter. You can set up the creation kit ini file to disable messages and then you don't have to look at them every time.

 

You need to tweak a few things there anyway.

 

Under general add bAllowMultipleMasterLoads=1 (allows you to load more than Skyrim.esm as a master for your mod)

Under Messages add bBlockMessageBoxes=1 (that gets rid of your error messages)

Under Audio add benableAudio=0 (stops a lot of CK crashes. You can temporarily set it to benableAudio=1 when you really need to listen to sounds)

Nope! CK is just daft in some ways. There's also a great mod 'Creation Kit Fixes' on Nexus. Download that and it speeds up load times massively as well as giving you a useful log and sorting a lot of stuff that Bethesda broke when doing the 64 bit version for SSE and didn't bother to fix themselves!
