Playerhomes and Ladys of the Night

Hey Guys

I working currently on a Goodneighbor expansion. I am not sure if I will release it - depends on how far I can come with the development of it, but I have already run into 2 problems:

First Problem:

I like to make a Playerhome, like the Playerhome in Diamond City. I have found no useful tutorial for that on YouTube. Did someone know how to make them? I have already make a new cell for it, build there rooms and navmesh them.

Also the Playerhome should have no connection to other workshops, how it is also with the Diamond City Playerhome.

Second Problem:

In a other interior cell, I have created 2 npcs that are meant to be Ladys of the Night. I have look into Magnolia and into the Diamond City Expansion mod, but I can't get my npcs to "work".

As by Magnolia and by the Diamond Expansion mod, the Ladys of the Night should have a short greeting dialog and then "starting the buisness" with a black fading out screen for of course caps.

Can someone help me with advice by the first or second problem? Or show me good tutorials for it?

I have experience with quests, but I am really newbish with scripts. So if scripts need to be involved keep that please in mind and explain them as best as possible.

And as always... I thank already yet everyone who is trying to help me with a explanation, or a useful link.

Home Plate is a settlement actually, with some functions missing, so search for tutorials on that. There are lots of good ones done by SKK50, me, DIeFem, etc...

Do not use markymint's tutorial on youtube, unless you know where he's wrong.

Oh, is that so? Well, thanks then. I have by myself already made a settlement, but I was not sure were the diferences between a settlement and a playerhome is in the ck. Thanks I will try those tutorials.

settlement = full working workbench

player home = interior workbench

the difrent is, the int workbench don't have the settlement build options, like a beacon

a simple player home= a int workbench and a build box, location/encounter/mapmarker/heading marker, its all you need, no fancy stuff

you don't even have to navmesh the place player will move fine without navmesh

Better make it like an exterior settlement though. There are lots of objects you might miss out on.

1.

The big difference is that you place the map marker outside.

The map marker then gets linked to an xmarker heading on the inside (Any maybe vice versa). Also you need to check the "interior map marker" - flag in the location data

2.

Also check that you don't have brahmins enabled as possible new settlers. Just to be sure.

3.

With interior settlements you can also skip out the attack part entirely.

Thank you both. I think I will be able to do it with your tips.

And btw. I have navmesh it, so that the player can also visit his playerhome with a companion at his side.
