Crashes at Race menu (Both in new game and via console)

I'll put up a list of my mod load order soon, but right now I have no crashes or freezes anywhere else 'yet' except when I start new game and get to the point to choose a race or if I bring up 'showracemenu'.

You probably have too many hair mods active. Too many references trying to load all at once. Disable all but one hair mod at a time and you should be fine. Yes, it is a little more work to get your character just right - but in the end you can only use one hair mod at a time any way.

there can also be such issues if you use hi res skin retextures (if this is the case it can be hit or miss, meaning it may cause instant ctds at first and all a sudden it's running fine, or vice-versa). sometimes the game engine can't handle hi res textures.
