tehfata
I like the idea; if I can find the time, I'd love to help get it off the ground once GECK has been released.
Conscripted
conscripted do u think its even possible to mod VATS speed? What do you mean? You mean the speed that your character is moving in vats; ie: animation speed, the speed by which you regenerate AP or the time taken ingame to utilize a vats called shot? My answer to all of those questions would be yes, by the way. Once we have the G.E.C.K., all of those aspects of the game should be modifiable. Im glad to see some interest here :) @Conscripted By speeding up VATS, i mean increasing the speed at which the character kills one unit and go on to the next. For instance, i dont think that simply chopping the killed animation sequence( i.e. Watching the heads roll and bodies explode) is the best way to go. I mean, something along the lines of increasing the framerate to quickly show the Character killing one unit and transitioning from unit to unti quickly and efficiently. Slugworld
Sounds good the power armour would make a nice existing mesh, I guess the laser guns are already there too. Count me in for any scripting.
Omnimmotus
Please.... God no..... While I have no reason for "No" other than I hated StarCraft and I hate everything blizzard has done since 1800, I see no reason why not. StarCraft mods might pull all those geeks away from playing the same game since 1998 to a new, better, UPDATED Genre of games. So while I see no reason other than the horrific failure of blizzard and StarCraft in general, it might be good to grab new players.Haha, someone who thinks Starcraft is a horrific failure? That's a first. But, to each their own. I think the sales figures and both amateur and professional reception speak for themselves as to its quality. Then again, I think WoW has terrible game design, and that seems to be more than a little popular. By speeding up VATS, i mean increasing the speed at which the character kills one unit and go on to the next. I'm not sure if VATS is controlled by scripts or hard-code, and if hard-code I'm not sure how much of it is in variables. I know we can at least remove the delay after a kill, not sure if we can speed it up. (Sure hope we can.)
ScorpionXIII
It would suck if the speed was hardcoded. Ultimately the objective though is to minimize the length of time from one kill to the next to provide a seemless and speedy transition. Im working on getting good marine armor pictures to work from and so far these 2 are the best.http://images2.ggl.com/articles/5642/08.jpghttp://www.robheller.com/images/blog/terran_marine_original.jpg http://bestgamewallpapers.com/files/starcraft-2/nuke.jpg
