AS0URTAC0
I have been hearing that auto save, (resting, waiting, fast traveling, etc.) can crash fallout if you have mods on, should I disable it?

luthienanarion
The game's autosave function tends to corrupt saves now and then. As an alternative, search for CASM here on the Nexus.
chevalierschiff
I always disable auto save in my FO games. Causes more harm than good in my case. I would suggest disabling it, as it never hurts to be more on the safe side.
Vitokov
How does one disable auto save ?
dubiousintent
Game's "Main Menu | Settings | Gameplay". Turn off all three "Save on ..." settings (Wait/Rest/Travel). Recommend using "CASM with MCM" instead. Primary advantage over plain CASM is that you can fine tune when it saves to only those times where it is unlikely a script is running in the background. Avoid "timed" saves as they can interrupt something happening in the background which is why your save gets corrupted. "Full saves" are best, but require you to periodically clear out old unneeded saves to keep the disk space used down. -Dubious-
