Wolfstorm
I see a lot of armor conversions being released for Skyrim. There are armor conversions from BDO, Witcher 2 and 3, among many other games, including anime-oriented games. These armors come straight from these other games, and are adapted very well for Skyrim. However, I dont see armors from ESO being converted. Quite the irony, since they are from the same series of Skyrim. The only thing I saw was a breton rogue armor which was not a conversion, but actually a unique model, made by a modder, and based on the equivalent model from ESO. Are armors from ESO locked behind cryptography? If so, how hard is to break it?Are there any technical limitations which wont allow for these armors to be converted? Like nodes from the meshes, for example?BDO is a MMO in the same way as ESO, and they armors were converted. If I'm not mistaken, I also saw GW armors converted to Skyrim.I'm just curious. All this time and I never saw a conversion. So I made this question for people who work with armor conversions, to clarify the issue. Is it cryptography, or some other technical issue? Are the files locked?
Jeir
The games that those outfits come from either have open permission for people to convert to other games, or the mod author contacted the company to ask for permission.Just like how you can't port an outfit from Oblivion to Skyrim (or Witcher, or any other mod-able game), you can't port an outfit from ESO to any other game. This is Zenimax/Bethesda's decision, and they generally act with take-down notices if they find any such mods that break their ToS. Thus, you can only recreate with brand new models and textures.
